National FutureSchools Expo 2016 Wrap Up

pic-1

Educators, speakers and edtech innovators from all over Australia, New Zealand and the far reaches of the World came together at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney this month, breaking last year’s attendance record for a powerful series of conferences and hands-on masterclasses.

The National FutureSchools Expo this year brought even more value to educators and their professional development budget by bringing a series of targeted and thought provoking conferences all under one roof. STEM and Student Engagement were prominently featured and, among many other high profile speakers and presenters, virtual world and games in education pioneer Peggy Sheehy (US) brought her experience in bringing the tools of this generation into the classroom and Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki, Australia’s most popular science communicator brought his A game. Dr. Karl’s presence, perspective and personality inspired a completely packed out lecture theatre.

As the National FutureSchools Expo continues to grow in size and popularity, the event will move to Melbourne in 2017 so you can be sure to look forward to earning those valuable professional development points while growing your personal learning network in Victoria on the 23rd-24th March at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

If you missed out on the National FutureSchools Expo this year, the good news is you don’t have to wait another whole year to get the inspiration you need. There is still time to register for EduTECH 2016 in Brisbane!
